I GOT IT!!! Major RfP problem

Postby ThomasKaira » Wed Oct 24, 2007 6:12 pm

It is not serious at all, but it does impede with the realism on my flying the Ready for Pushback 747.

My plane simply does not consume any fuel. Anyone know how to fix this?

I'd say: "Check the realism settings..." but I think you already did, didn't you?

I took her for a long haul last week, and the FF was around 260lbs/hr (per engine) at FL330 M.80, 5 hours into the flight though...
She's a gas guzzler, for sure.

LOL

Don't feel bad, Jet! I have an AC that supposedly has a range of 1000nm. I took a trip that was about 800nm or so and still had plenty of fuel to burn.

OK, time for a crunch. It turns out that this problem I was having was a side effect of a much more serious problem, as the plane will now simply stall out on the tarmac whenever I try to start her engines. ::) :-/

Let's see if THIS is solvable. I am experienced with the plane, I've read the manual, I'm sure I performed the procedures correctly, so I take it there is a bug in my aircraft.

How strange!

Again, I had an AC (The PD Shakleton, FS9) whose engines shut off just sitting on the runway ready for takeoff.

Hope someone can help you.

If anybody can come up with some idea of what is wrong then please let me know, as I now know that I am flying a broken bird, and I really won't fly it at all until I can find out what is wrong.

I am thinking it might be a severe bug in the fuel section of the plane to be specific, because the plane is acting like it is not detecting that any fuel is in the tanks. I'd like to ask that if someone has a copy of a RfP Aircraft that works please send me their aircraft.cfg to me via email, so I can see if that solves the problem.

YES!!! I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!! 8-) 8-) :P :P ;D ;D

Of all things that could have been wrong with the beast, it was my FSUIPC module. It was out of date, but after replacing it with V 3.75, the plane is now working!
