I limit my aircraft dls to only the very best commercial and bizjet planes WITH vcs, so I would be in the 10+ category.

I only keep aircraft that I like, and that i'm only interested in flying. So, I only have a few dozen aircraft that I enjoy flying ;)

There's no sense in competing to have hundreds of aircraft if I can't fly them all ::)

Every now and then the blood rushes to my head and I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!!

Then I see the manual pdf you have to download and that is 7.58mb. If I'm going to spend so much time and money(when it comes to payware ;D) I'd rather go and fly the real thing(er,172ish :)).

Soooo, max at the moment is five, two on a regular basis.
Still, the concorde is tucked away just in case.

i only have a POSKY co 757-200 winglet (my fav aircraft to fly at the moment) a 767-200er, dc-10-30, and 2 or 3 737s'.  so i dont even reach ten.  i personally dont see the point in d/l 100s' of aircraft coz i know i wont fly them all, and i end up ging back to the ones i d/l first anyway, but i can understand why people would d/l hundreds of a/c.  im like that with electronic gadgets, i buy them even if i dont need them

WOWZERS... :o...!
You mean you have to scroll through 245 aircraft to find the one you want... :o... :o... :o...!

I have around 50 aircraft downloads altogether, but only a handful are in my Aircraft Select Option, including the Defaults, all the rest are stored in separate folder within the main Aircraft Folder to be dragged out as and when required....;)...!
...saves on clutter, and I can find my desired aircraft quickly...;D...!

about 150 ish I have about 3gb worth of addons, I only keep aircraft that are fun to fly though.  A good VC is quite important although I have a few aircraft with non and nice flying characteristics are also important.

I cleaned up my HD just the other day.  I generally keep the zip file of any aircraft I've downloaded, unless I don't like it and won't ever fly it again.  So, I had one or two files to archive.

I'm not going to count them all, but the zips filled 3 CDs so it's about 2GB worth.

Of those I keep 'ready to fly' I try to put them into categories and file them in the FS9 folder with names like WW1, WW2, Cold War jets, etc.  When I'm in the mood for a particular type of plane I temporarily rename the relevant folder to AIRCRAFT and start up FS9.  That way I don't have to wait while it looks through all the other planes which won't be used that session.

I have 161 downloaded aircraft files in my "aircraft" directory, AI and non-AI.

But because 3 files may come from one zip file (i.e. Stearman Civilian, Stearman USAF, Stearman USN etc), I probably have about 150.

And if you minus my AI, that number is about 80-90. :)

I'm like a few others here, in that I don't like to have a whole lot of useless aircraft in there.  I tend to take a good, long test flight of any aircraft, then decide if I want to keep it or not.  If not, I zip up the folder its in and put it in a file I keep for that specific reason.  I just leave all the gauges and other stuff in there.  They don't have any effect on the system, really.  As for the amount, right now I'm at 80, which doesn't include some AI I've downloaded (around 50).

around 160 addons, aircraft only. i dont do AI cause i cant firgure out PAI for the life of me.believe me when i say i'd love realistic AI, but i need help. more on that later.

i generally keep around 150 aircraft in my comptuer, but it constantly changes, cause i get new a/c and delete old bad ones.
