Airline Call Signs

I recently reinstalled everything on my pc.  when i reinstalled fs2004, i found that i cant select an airline callsign, and now the atc calls me by my tail number.  there is nothing in the call sign drop down list, not even the defalt call signs.  anybody got any ideas as to what i have done and how to fix it please???

Hi, vavavoom.

I assume you're using addon planes? Sometimes aircraft modelers won't include a voicepack for their planes.

Not to be a useless post, but have you had this with all planes since the re-install or with your new addon planes.

For the missing drop down list, sounds like your missing or have misplaced the 'airlines.cfg' file from the .....\(FS2004)\aircraft\ folder.

Think you'll find the default file on CD1\MSGame1.cab.

This is a (nearly) complete list of all airline names that FS2004 recognizes (will speak) by default.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

its a 2002 file does it work in fs9 ??

Sure.  The airlines.cfg file (and the way it's used) didn't change between FS 2002 and FS 2004.

got it now ;D  had to copy the text from the file over in the original file but now it works dandy :))
