[quote]For once I am going to really hit out at FS9. It amazes me how the crazy team at MS concentrated so much on old flyers, when there are so many modern aircraft that they could have done as has been stated.
What about Airbus? What about a good fighter jet? None! They really need to get their act together and produce something better at MS and I hope it will be FS10 and not a FS8.2 as the current FS9 is... ;)

And plus, I wouldn't care if Microsoft didn't include any default aircraft. I never fly anything default, I just download all mine. 8)

You're kidding right?  Ben, this is called "A Century of Flight!"  Some of the planes are kind of superflous like the Wright Flyer or the Spirit of St. Louis, but these planes represent milestones in aviation.  How could they celebrate 100 years of flight and NOT have them there?  The Jenny is probably the best looking default plane they have ever made!  :o

Well, a bit. I was awaiting a response like that. But although they are great in themselves, I never fly them because I try to follow realistic flights and like to use the planes in use today. So many planes that are used today are not in FS and that just seems rather absurd to me.  ::)

hahahaha

Yikes.

I haven't been here for so loooong.  And was good in the way that time flew!  Cause I was looking forward to hearing the release of FS2006 now!  Since they released FS2004 in August 2003.  Well..... Another year to wait!  Better be bloody brilliant!  Or I'll be upset :(  All this waiting tends to kill me....  I guess I'd be too busy to play it now anyway!  All this UNI work pisses me off!

And if they do abandon it microsoft better watch out for a crazy, angry mob of simvers, and a spit dropping marmalade bombs lol

Yeah, & there is no where for bill gates to hide, FS is world wide  ;D ;D

But seriously I do not suspect in the least that Microsoft will cancel FS2006. The entire Microsoft Flight Simulator Series has probley generated as much money as the Microsoft Windows Series Version's 3.0 to XP.
It just wouldn't be a very wise business decision.

Old Billy knows that clearly. He wouldn't even dare risk it unless the whole planet wants the series to be banned [which is unlikely].

Unlikely is not a strong enough word to use. In this situation I would use impossible. The Microsoft Flight Simulator Series will NEVER be discontinued at the consumers request.

Support for the Flight Sim Series is streched to all corners of the internet. People spent countless hours of there personal time designing add ons for fs. Every week there is some kind of new add on uploaded to the internet. You don't see that kind of enthusiasiam with any other game.

...Seeing as how "Windows" and "FS10" are both M$ products, I would think it a sure bet that FS10 will already know what will be " ;)new" in the coming Windows OS..........commoner
