Windsheild problems

Postby Sock » Mon Aug 22, 2005 9:18 pm

I have a problem with the windsheilds and basicly all see-through parts of some of the higher end planes in my hanger.  I'm betting its a video card thing, but I'm no good with those types of things.

Heres a screenshot so you can see what I mean.

Is there anything tweaking I can do to fix this?  And if there is, how would I go about doing it?  I have a NVIDIA GeForce 2 with the lastest updates.  And I don't have the money to go out and buy a new video card.

Thanks.  :)

I think you're right about it being your card, but darned if I know what to do to fix it...  On the other hand, that would make a real nice FS98 plane...  :)

Yeah, i get that with the Lancair Legacy, and the giant glass cockpit.  Sometimes it's like that, and sometimes dully clear.  Still haven't decided what i like better.  I haven't found what is the switch. I have a Radeon 9600 and it did the same thing with my old GeForce MX 440.  However, it ONLY does it with the Legacy.

Try going to Settings/Display/Aircraft, and play around with the Global Aircraft Settings. I was messing around with that once and had the problem with the Lancair, went in there and played with that a bit and got it fixed...... 8)

Thanks, I turned off the reflexations and it worked.  Thought the metal on some planes is less shinny, I can see in side and its not that much of a difference.  Thanks!!  :)
