Scenery Problem for AFCAD

Postby alb469 » Fri Jul 08, 2005 7:36 am

After my system crash and reinstall of fs9, when trying to add an afcad file we found that the add on scenery folder has no scenery folder to put the it in.Should a folder be made and added in or are the afcad files someplac else in fs9?

Yes.
AF2 files should be in the FS9/Addon Scenery/Scenery folder.
This is not manadatory as FS9 will first look in the folder to which you say does not exist; i.e., the New Scenery/Scenery folder; FS9 then goes to FS9/Addon Scenery/Scenery and lastly to where the default AF2 files are kept (Scenery/world/scenery)

I like to keep mine all in FS9/Addon Scenery/Scenery folder so I can keep track of them all and check for duplicates (using ScanAFD)

Thanks. Will have a look in world. As an experiment put a folder in the add on and installed an AFCAD file. To me thats seem the best place to put them. My experiment appears to have worked.
