Posky 767-V4 closes FS9..

Postby the_echo » Sat May 28, 2005 6:55 am

Hey people,

I got a mega bummer of a problem, i just downloaded Posky's 767-300 V4 in First Choice Airways colours (all as one package) from avsim; http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Sea ... fs2004acrp

I installed in the proper way and to which it is described in the included readme. So i start up fs9 go to select the 767 in FC colours and it loads the model in the "preview pane" then just as its about to load the textures fs9 closes down and returns me to the desktop.

Could anybody help please? I can post the aircraft.cfg or anything else you may need.

Thanks,
Echo.

Its probably a file you missplaced... Try to install it again. if it doesnt work... contact the designer or something ;)

...mm...funny this...in the aircraft. cfg if you change the texture=FTC to texture=   then it works BUT the whole A/c has no textures ???...think I'll leave this to the "experts".....commoner ;D ;D

yeah.. this is a texture problem..

I got another posky 767-300 v4 in thomas cook colours so i got the First choice textures folder and renamed to the one required by the thomas cook plane and then stuck in to the thomas cook aircraft folder (saving a backup of the proper TC texture folder).

Now i was thinking that the plane would load the FC textures thinking they were the TC textures but it doesnt it just does the same as it would before just crashes back to the desktop.

.....mmm..I also tried that one but like you ..no joy. Still fiddling and hoping though, not that I'm bothered about that particular plane but the problem is interesting....commoner ;D

I got textures for another Posky 767 300 and renamed them to textures.FTC and put them in the FTC folder.....that worked fine...........must be one or all of the texture files that is wrong..........commoner ???

Hi echo...well I narrowed it down to two files in the texture folder.. os767v4fuse1_t.bmp  and  os767v4fuse2_t.bmp.........these are for reasons that I can't say as I am not an expert on this. causing the problem..........I remade them in my own sweet way and as you can see from the screenie got the thing to work ok. Maybe you know how to rework these two files but I could email the ones I remade if you like...........here's the result .............commoner ;)
