best planes for FS9

Postby Chris E » Thu Mar 03, 2005 10:17 pm

ok, well, im sure this has been in here somewhere, but what do you all think the best addon planes are for FS9, i always seem to have trouble finding good complete planes without having to hunt down one part here, another here and a panel over here, the textures here, and so on, so what do you think the best planes are, full complete realistic planes?

I really like the Howard 500 avilable here.  It's an amazing aircraft.

I like the B-58 Hustler (freeware) by J R Lucariny., the GMAX F-16 (freeware) model by Kirk Olsson is excellent too.

The Lockheed 049A Constellation by FSDZigns. Flies great, has a very good panel. Comes in three liveries but more can be downloaded at the available sites. When you like to fly older planes, this is the one to have.

Crash ;)

I am absolutely in love with the Beechcraft Twin Bonanza by Eric Dantes. I want a real one! And how could I forget my trusty Rockwell Commander.

How about narrowing the field down? What kind of airplanes do you like to fly? General Aviation (GA), commercial jets, business jets, vintage warbirds or just vintage airplanes in general, Prop airliners and I'm sure there's a few I've forgotten to add.

It all depends on your preferences. Also, are you interested in payware airplanes or just freeware? Good payware IMO would be anything from Flight One, FSD or Aerostar. I've gotten excellent aircraft from all three of those. For freeware just browse through the SimV downloads section. You'll find a batch there. Some are better than others but you just have to try them out to see if you like them. If not all you've wasted is some time downloading.
