Control Assignments

Postby Tatlock » Sat Feb 12, 2005 3:52 pm

In FS 2002 and FS 2004 , in the list of controls for which assignments can be changed, appears Select Item 1 to Select Item 4. What are these items?
I suspect that they are quantifiable parameters like heading bug position, zoom and time compression that repond to plus and minus when selected.
It would be handy to be able to define another four parametrs for this capability. If  I am right this can be done by selecting an item. But I cannot find in any instruction or help how to do this.
I should be grateful for a solution.

Assignments can be keystrokes, buttons on a joystick or a yoke. In order to change them you have to click on one then click change assignment  the system will let you know if the selection you make is allready being used for another purpose. But the assignment can be any thing from opening the exit door to changing the heading bug There are different catagories. ALL, CONTROL SURFACES, ENGINE COMMANDS,SIMULATOR COMMANDS and many others
