Do you have autogen turned up in your settings?  Make sure this slider is up, the higher you go the more buildings you'll get.

If you have replaced your default scenery with the VFR Photographic Scenery for England and Wales, then it will be flat....very flat.... ;)...!
The scenery is now a flat, very flat photograph... :'(....!
...so very little sticks up into the air, apart from the default airport buildings... :'(...!

Cheers ... ;D...!

that screenshot looks like default scenery to me...
and the autogen is there, so i think the problem is with the terrain...

see if the terrain mesh setting is really turned all the way up

either way, the microsoft default mesh isn't really that accurate anyways....::) (not that i'm complaining tho... let's not start a flame war ;) )

Fozzer likely has it nailed for you kk1.  That is one of the reasons that I really don't like the "photo-realistic" sceneries very much.  They only look good from about 2000 feet up and higher.

I prefer the "inaccurate"... but more realistic 3-d scenery.

best,

Thankyou all, i have deleted everything off my drive now and am starting again, reason being that i have downloaded so much aircraft and scenery that just isn't compatable with 2004 / or i've not read the install notes proper/at all, lot's won't load. I deleted all my software last night apart from FS9 and tryed it-----my buildings had appeared :D, i prefer it like this and shall not put VFR back on, that was a waste of money :( .
 Thankyou  ;)
