It does look very impressive, just hope all that detail wont kill peoples systems too much!

I am gonna keep my eye on this one though, would be cool to be able to dock to those floating stations!

I play with Ultimate Traffic installed and at 100%, with 6x AA and 16x AF and all settings in Display Settings maxed out. When in the Captain Sim 707, at Simflyers KLAX v2 and actually looking at the terminal buildings I can achieve around 60-70 FPS.

Rob. :)

Thanks, I guess you do not have to worry about having the sliders maxed out!!!  Good to know that FS9 will run that fast on a top notch system.  Would be a bummer if if that system still only got 20/30 fps.  ;D

Lets not get into that argument again!  I dont think (from what I have read) they can totally pinpoint what the eye can see.

Though in the game there is a big difference in smoothness between 14 and 30fps!  Above 30fps the game doesn't appear to get any smoother.

I knew I should've put "the average human eye"

oh well.

I'll give you this-20-30 FPS really isn't any different from 60 FPS, so long as the 20-30 is your lowest FPS.

Kinda un-conclusive really as to what the eye can see I think, kinda like stuff I have read before.

I like this bit though "To have a perfect illusion of everything that can flash, blink and move you shouldn't go below 500 fps"

Looks like I am gonna need a much much better setup than I have now to achieve that FPS in FS2004.

30-40 is enough for me in the game though, I lock to 30 when multi-playering and 43 when in Single player.
