Lost In-Flight Checklist usage

Postby MQ4188 » Wed Jan 26, 2005 1:13 pm

Has anyone lost the use of the checklist function within either the default or add-on aircraft.

The usablity in FS9 is gone.

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The checklist are part of the panel .cfg file
If yours is missing check the default aircraft like the B737 or B747 open the panel cfg file and look for .txt files if they are gone then some how you have deleted them. If they are there then try to open any of them if you are unable to open any of them then you have a bad file or mising both NOTEPAD & WORPAD programs.
Have you recently downloaded any thing for FS9 if so I hope you

The follwing files are found in the aircraft root directory.
ie.. boeing737_400_check.htm

When viewed using an editor the appear much like they would from within the checklist while flying.

I don't understand why fltsim9 won't load them from within the aircraft.  Within the aircraft.cfg file it points with the following:  kb_checklists=Boeing737-400_check
kb_reference=Boeing737-400_ref.

Still not sure why it is not loading.  Becoming frustrating.

thanks

Just print them out, it'll save you the time of solving these niggling little problems.

It would be well and good just to give up but there must be a reason it is not working.  Besides, when you click the "check" in FS9 it gives you more than just the checklist.  It also provides tabs which show the navigation log and some others.

I see that the files are there (In the folders) but the icon on the panel is kaput.

Thanks

thanks again,

Am I wrong, the "checkmark" on the panel will open the keeboard which contains all of the aforementioned, ie.  checklist, nav. log, and some additional items.

When I check the checkmark, my cursor changes only briefly, butthe I get nothing in the way of the kneeboard.

It is happening in every aircraft I have, including the defaults.

It is as if the icon on the dash is not signalling the program to lauch it.

Hope that is more clear.

Sure a mystery to me.

OK I see sad the blind man as he picked up the hammer and saw. Somehow you have either moved or deleted the kneeboad file from fs9. It is this file that shows the said mentioned files. I am at work right now so I can not tell you the name of the file you need  but it should be in the root folder of fs9 8)

Wow, never heard that one before Obviously the kneeboard icon is in the panel.cfg
gauge##=SimIcons!Kneeboard Icon, 30, 111

Sorry I can't help. I've read many post where users have tried to edit the size etc., of the kneeboard but it's pretty-well buried in FS9 somewhere.

Good Luck

..the actual bitmap image that displays the kneeboard is in the folder Uires, which is in the main FS9 folder. It goes by the name of  imgkbbkg  just check if you still have that file for a start. commoner.

Thanks to all for the help.

I found that somehow the kneeboard got opened and minimized so small that it did not appear on the main screen.

I luckily found it and was able to get it back to normal size.

Thanks for everyones help.
