Hi there Lurch,
all the big fs forum sites have search engines.  I think this is one of them ;D ;D ;D ;D avsim.com is another biggie.
The search engines work just like google or yahoo.  Just do a search for "mesh" or "cincinnati scenery" or anything like that .

As far as scenery creation tools, there's tons.  I'm no expert by any means but by doing a search on this site I found a thread that returned something that could be useful.  Take a look.

USA Photo maps is a free program at http://jdmcox.com/ . You just have to figure out how to do it and have the time to do it. It is rally quite a amazing FREE program. Just type in your address and it will come up. Then zoom out.. Way out. I have almost the whole state of central Illinois. Champaign to Chicago. Then around Las Vegas and San Francisco !

Hi, I've just downloaded a lot of the simviation hosted mesh. It's also 78m compared to the more precise 38m meshes out there. I use the commercial FSGenesis' West Coast for my local area and Rothlisberger's for the rest of the world so far..

www.fsgenesis.net
www.flight1.com

I supppose the advantage in the commercial meshes listed above is that they're usually 38m and also have fixes, updates and  support.  Both sites also have their versions of US roads where every road in the US is mapped out onto FS9. Check out some pics on their site or other places.

If you have the diskspace, get both as the transitions will be smoother

Hi comm...!

I tried out the terrain mesh for Great Britain...

My local airfield, EGBS Shobdon, suddenly appeared in a valley, surrounded by cliffs... :o...!
Now I've never had any problems in getting my little Cessna off the ground before, but to be suddenly surrounded by cliffs...well... :'(...!
LOL... ;D...!

Cheers Mate... ;D...!

I just had a look at EGBS and these little rolling hills don't look to difficult to navigate to me, rather pretty in fact....what do you think..commoner ;)
PS ..I'm almost directly over the strip, :)

Looks lovely in FS 2004... 8)...!

Try it in FS 2002, (my version), with the scenery mesh for Great Britain, and VFR Photographic Scenery for Wales and the West of England.... :o...!

Looks nothing like our airfield or the local area. (See the EGBS Photograph on the Web site)... ;)...!
LOL...!
I don't think Uncle Bill paid us a visit before he wrote the program...LOL...!

Removed both of the add-ons and back to flying on the California west coast again... 8)...!
Much more realistic, KSFO and KLAX, etc... ;D...!
...and the weather is much nicer...and the babes at Santa Monica are cool... ;)...!
LOL...!

Cheers comm...!

P.S. by the way...have you had a look at Leeds/Bradford, EGNM....nuffin like it in real life, (My youngest lad lives there).... ;)....!
