There are two ways...One is to hit the ALT key, then go to aircraft, then go to change fuel and payload, and add more fuel that way, or use the fuel pumps which are located at most, but not all airports.... ;D

I switch to the top down view, and come to a complete stop next to the pump, and it should refuel....Need to check the fuel gauge to confirm that it did refuel...

Mind...it doesn't work with all planes...it depends on how the airport is coded!

Hi IZ...you could of course go to Settings-Realism and check the box for UNLIMITED fuel....then you will NEVER run out of gas..commoner ;D

He's got a point. when your aircraft is with the proximity of 35 ft, it will refuel automatically. but yes, sometimes, depending on the aircraft, you can't refuel.

I have a few planes that won't refuel. ie, Gulf IV and another private jet I think. No matter how long or where or what kind of fuel is there or what, No refuel. So I go to Alt/settings myself if I need. I'v been trying to figure this problem out now for a long time but no results yet! ::)

I usually end up using the refuel menu more than the pumps. When refueling at the pumps you get a full 100% fuel load with no option to change that. Through the menu you can set any fuel load you want.

It isn't too unrealistic since some airports don't like planes taxiing all around just to get gas. At those airports they will have a truck come around and refuel you where you are parked. Much less congestion with one truck delivering fuel to twenty planes than twenty planes lined up at the pumps.

Partially true.

Ctrl+x is tied to '[x]Display Flying Tips' in the Realism settings. Ctrl+X is only available after an in flight warning (flying tip) is displayed, to correct the immediate problem. These warnings include low fuel, improper mixture, etc.

Cheers,
Dave
At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
