Blackbird with No Feet

Postby Lurch16th » Fri Jan 21, 2005 9:08 pm

Anybody have an idea why the landing gear doesn't show up on this Blackbird?

Chances are it's just freeware ****, but it may be a more specific problem.

It's most likely that the aircraft was made with one of the older design programs. My guess is that it's something that was ported over to FS 2004. You can get the landing gear and flaps back when this happens by a little edit in your Fs9.cfg file.

Open your Fs9.cfg with Notepad and look for this line:

[FrameCallNoWarn]
full=0

Change the 0 to a 1 and you should have your landing gear back and working. For prop planes that are missing props however there isn't any fix except hope that someone does a model for FS 2004.

I got the "some things might not be compatible" spiel.........commoner

If you see this message when you first select a new aircrafr click the No option. This does the same thing as MattNW's CFG tweak & saves you the trouble.

ok, i'll pass that on.
The gear show up fine in my install, but my brother downloaded the same plane, but "clicked" to "disable".

The gear on his version didn't show up.  So i had him

-uninstall it by just deleting the Blackbird  folder in the FS9 Aircraft folder.

However, i didn't have him delete any of the guages or effects that might have come with it.

Then had him reinstall the blackbird, but this time he didn't get the "disable" warning. and the gear didn't show up.

i bet it's a matter of deleting all files and folders of the Blackbird and starting over from scratch.

Lurch. Tell your brother to try Matt's fs9.cfg tweak. Look for the Blackbird listed under the [FrameCallNoWarn] header & change the value from 0 to 1. Deleting the aircraft & reinstalling it won't change that CFG entry.

PS. If yours works OK check out your own fs9.cfg.
