New member downloading FS2004 Windows xp

I,m finding it really difficult to understand downloading unzipping add on planes etc.Have looked at instuction  for using with windows 98, Xp seems to be slightly different.Ok so i,m a bit thick.Gratefull for any help

what I do is have folders named 1-8 in my aircraft directory. This way they are at the top. I install the zip into one of these folders and then just cut and paste the qauges into their directory and then the main file into the aircraft directory.

This way if anything goes wrong I don't have all these files everywhere.

I'm running XP Pro  :)
