how anybody drinks coffee, period, is beyone me. espically starbucks. now i do fall into the paying $5 for a drink, but i get mine from Jamba Juice, which is real juice, casue they squeeze heir own oranges and wheatgrass.

ok back to the point

i realize people want to relax and all and have your co take over the aircraft, but wouldn't that just be an extension off autopilot. the only change is 1: it'll tune the radios, 2: it'll follow hdg's.

but you still have to input the cooridnates, hdg's, altitudes, and authothrottle is equipped.

still, it would be fun to relax ;D ;D

ick... starbucks ...ick

what i would like to see is NOT hyper-detailed aircraft or photorealistic scenery - users can make such things themselves

Yeah. Very true, but the methods and software used can be very non-user friendly. I still cannot get a firm grip on GMAX and I've used every 3D modelling program out there with ease. And I've been trying to work with GMAX for almost two months now.

i want to see aircraft casting shadows on themselves

i want to see clouds casting shadows on the ground (realistic lighting and shading)

I agree wholeheartedly there, and while the subject has been brought up...

I'd also like to see the water reflect light realistically no matter what video card you use and no matter if you have DirectX 8 or DirectX 9.  I have an ATI video card and a display adapter with both running DX9.0c drivers and I still cannot get my water to reflect light.  And, we should be able to see aircraft or scenery reflect off of the water as well.

- More accurate terrain, say streets, elevation data and locations of settlements. And real forests, not just single trees!
- Virtual Cockpits only (like CFS3).
- Better airport layouts (taxiways & parking areas even for the smallest strips).
- More AI traffic.
- Heat blur.
- Oh,and a maintenance mode or similar.

ahh yea now i remember

>there should be a function where the little maintaincnce trucks come out and service your truck. i mean, theis early they'll pop up from nowhere, but it's a start

>the jetway moves, i know it wont line up with the aircraft, but at least make the jetway look as if a plane could park there and line up.

>built in announcement system, yes i d/l Airliner's Env (for $27, geez) and it's cool, except i changed all the wav files so they sounded realistic, but if FS did the same, built in though

There is one thing about FS that seems to have gotten worse with each passing version...

In each new version, the maximum speed limit is reduced each time.

In fs4, one could go to like mach 8 or something.

I don't remember much about fs5.

But in fs98 and 2000, the maximum speed limit was reduced to below mach 5.

In fs9, the max speed limit is just mach 2 or 3.

I would REALLY like to fly my PlutoCon at the speeds (and altitudes) It is supposed to fly at.

Also, I would like for M$ to stop treating the world like a flat map in a giant ball that depicts the sky, and start treating it as a GLOBE floating in space, so I can fly directly above the north pole, instead of stopping in mid-air at 89.5* latitude

And when will we get tornadoes dropping out of the storm systems?
