Your system should be kicking excellent frame rates out. I suggest using task manager and seeing whats running in the background. Then, whatever you determine is not essential to the running of FS go into msconfig and remove it from the start-up section. Then, go under the applications tab and click to hide all MS apps. Anything there not related to the sim should be disabled. After that, do a defrag then re-start. Set your ATI settings all left for performance and then start FS9 and set all display settings to minimum. Then, keep turning up from there til you balance your frames with your visual needs. If none of that works, you may have to do a complete un-install. Then reapply the patch. Run FS and set all your settings where you want them and get a base line. If you have your usuall performance, start re-installing your add-ons and checking after each one and see how it goes. Maybe one of your add-ons conflicts with the patch.
