payload problems

payload problems

I am not able to change the payload on any of my downloaded aircraft does anybody know why

the maker probably didnt include them, or maybe you can't. payload is new to fs2004, so maybe you cant modify it yet. im not an aircraft maker, but im sure they have to do some extra programming in order to make the individual payload options (weight pilot 1, first class, business class, etc.).

The payloads are defined in the planes 'aircraft.cfg' file, in the [weight_and_balance] section.

If you look at one of the default planes 'aircraft cfg.' file you can see how its done, with notation on what all the numbers and stuff mean. You can then add payloads to your plane, and they should appear in the 'fuel and payload' setup window.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
