Adding Aircraft Traffic, airport gates, etc, to your Sim - AFCAD, TTools, Project AI, AI Aircraft, etc

Please help a newby with scenery and airport design

I have FSX acceleration and want to expand on my local airport (S07 - Bend, Oregon, USA) (actually it is KBDN but FSX has the old ICAO designator)

How do I start, what do I download and how do I place AI and Static airplanes at my airport?

Download and install ADE9X: http://www.scruffyduckscenery.co.uk/

Be careful that it needs the SDK installed too, for FSX.

Read the instructions and learn to use it. Unless you want to go fancy, ADE9X is everything you need. ;)

Thank you. Now, how do I get AI airplanes and static models into this airport?

Here you're getting fancy and opening a whole different can of worms. ;D

Sorry. Cannot help you. Were you using FS9, I could tell you how to use and what to use to get a custom AI traffic (was never interested in static models... just too bloody stupid having inert planes permanently hogging potentially useful parkings), but having never adopted FSX for myself, I never took the time to learn this sim's AI editing and creating. :-/
