Just try reverting back to the default FSX 747-400 or 737-800 panel. I bet it would work. Mine does, and I tell ya, that R model accelerates pretty darn fast! And the CFM's sound great with that growl type sound!

yes..i do have the thumbnail inside the 'texture' folder ...well im in deep deep lost to..probably you can try doing on what i messaged you..

To reconfirm,i get the thumbnail from the 'download' page, where the picture of the kc-135r of my prefered texture is located (In my case, i tried two texture one at a time, the RSAF 2001 and RSAF 2008) i copied that thumbnail and renamed it 'thumbnail' , and paste it inside my 'texture' folder of my kc-135r .

Are you using the b707-700 panel?..how about the sound file?.

I'm using the C-141 panel:

and the FSX 747 sound.

No pictures?  Do you mean no thumb view or no rotating display view?

Could my problem be related to acceleration?

Oh.  You have Acceleration.  Could be.  I do not have Acceleration (unless there's something with more and bigger guns behind me...   :o  )

Perhaps we should bump this topic up to the FSX forum, since more people familiar with Acceleration read there.  I'm clueless as to any work-arounds for any possible problems that Acceleration may cause. :-?

For the panel, I used th panel from the C141, FS2004 military page 92.  That's the screen shot above.  At least I think the panel  came from that C-141...

I have acceleration, and mine works fine. Just see in the freeware screenshot section. So acceleration is not the problem. Like I said... if you havent tried it yet, alias the panel to the 747-400 or 737-800. It will work.

Oh, nevermind, just saw that you got it to work. For me, the panel isnt a big deal cause I wanna see the outside of this beauty! But it works, its a 4 engine panel.... so its close!

I guess from the previous posts, Acceleration is not the problem.

You've downloaded and unzipped the base model and the texture.

You've modified the .cfg.  It looked good.

You've added the thumbnail, and named it "thumbnail" in the texture folder.

You've placed the new texture in the "R" model aircraft folder, and installed the whole package in FSX.

It should work.

Most puzzling. :-?
