Cross Country AC

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Cross Country AC

Postby aussiewannabe » Fri Nov 02, 2007 11:49 am

I'm looking for a good AC designed for cross country. Something unique. Don't really want a Cessna, Beech, Piper, etc. Basically, something that can land on any surface (not water though).

Reason being, I want to do a cross country flight in Australia in an AC that doesn't have to be way up in the clouds to see the scenery. I have VOZ and am almost finished downloading Andy Weir's SRTM Mesh for Australia.

And if you could, please include a link if possible.

Thanks.

Have you tried Milton Shupe's Spartan Executive?

Maule M-7-260-a true bush plane that can land/TO in 500'.

Maule M-7-260 Real World Specs

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

These are some good suggestions 8-)

Dave, thanks for the specs. That's very helpful when I try out a new AC.

If you really want to have a good, long look at the scenery, try this Champ ("FS2004 Aeronca Champ"):

Come to think of it, the Wilga on that page is very cool, too...  ;D
