X-31 for FSX

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

X-31 for FSX

Postby fighter25 » Sun Feb 11, 2007 12:07 pm

I just thought that it would be very cool to have an X-31 for FSX.
It would take a very skilled designer and flight dynamics designer because it has trust vectoring capablities.
Here are some pictures http://www.rjktech.com/html/photos_2.html and more http://www.rjktech.com/X-31%20ESTOL%20s ... /frame.htm  hope this helps!

I don't think a true X-31 will ever be able to be modeled into FS9 or FSX. Thrust Vectoring is just too complicated for an engine such as these games have to do properly. As nice as it would be, I don't think it's happening  :'(

I bet it could be done, just by making the pertinent control surfaces larger in the aircraft config than they really are on the model.

Yep. Just takes a bit of fiddling with the .CFG's... Make sure you back them up first  ;) ;D

Fiddle with the flight dynamics... Very possible.
