There is one, but it is an addon for the payware MAAM DC-3 which is excellent. :)

I am both shocked and upset by the fact that none of you knew they put a DC-3 on floats!   The XC-47 was a concept to put the already versatile DC-3 on amphibious floats to make it even more versatile.  While it flew fine, the plane did not handle itself well on rough sees and so it never really developed.  Folsom's Air Service operated the only flying XC-47 until recently when it converted it back to a regular DC-3.

I can't beleive no freeware builder that has built a XC-47. It is a beutifule plane! This makes me want to learn gmax and build one! But, I have never been able to learn it succsesfully.::)
Well I whait for answers on Rwy12, mabey I'll try again...

If you like the DC3 variants, the MAAM-Sim payware package is worth the money... especially the amphibious version (XC-47).

I wish I'd had one on my mostly-overwater RTW DC3 flight... even with extra fuel tanks, there was no guarantee I'd reach some of the tiny remote islands on my route.

What use would it have to land on water?  You alone would definately not get very far rowing the XC-47 ::)

Well, there IS a DC-3 on floats source file available ... well, it was made with BAO FLight Shop for FS.95, so it would need a leeetle "processing"
