Blurry textures?

Postby xFLAMESx » Fri Feb 04, 2005 8:48 am

Hi guys,

Every time I repaint an aircraft, I load up FS, start flying an then I notice the textures are blurry :(

Now I know about using DXTBmp, I open the texure in that first, load it into PSP 8 and start repainting.

When I've finished the textures look great, reload in DXT after editing and save.

I've just downloaded all the repainting tutes available here, but was wondering if anyone could help too ???

Cheers,

Carl

HAHA! yeah, that is a big problem in FS, no textures that supports beer.

Anyway, have you checked the resulution on the textures? When you load the textures into Photoshop be sure that the files are in bmp format.

Ah ye olde blurry texture problem (with or without beer  ;) ) i suggest saving files in 32Bit not DXT3 and if blurryness strill persists, zoom in to max, then back out, to remove blurryness for a time (FS9 problem i'm told) If they still blur, then try turing down other settings like scenery and weather.

Ohhh and check ure mipmap settings are near the max tooo..

Think this works anyways....
