...Dude... If things worked that way we wouldn't need SDKs and could convert anything into anything... Changing the name only does that, change the name, it doesn't change the internal contents of the file... The file is still coded as a M3D file, inside. It's not possible. The only thing FSX and CFS3 share are the aircraft.cfg and .air files, and even those differ from one to another ...

Not possible. And if it was it would take so much work that you would do an exact replica of that plane from scratch much faster than you could adapt it from CFS3 to FSX...
