The VC windshield rain effects animation looks simple enough.

I compiled one of my aircraft okay. The specular levels appear higher than what I got through Middleman/MdlCommander.  All my _T textures were lightly transparent, all my chrome parts were missing.    Easy way to reduce poly's and weight.  lol
However, the compile added 64K to my .mdl size.  I suspect that the black primary and black alphas made the chrome transparent.

Also, if you get an error message during compile referring to Missing MSXML4.DLL, copy the 3 dll's by that name (and suffixes) from the FS9 folder and paste into the Gmax Plugins folder that contains the new Makemdl.EXE.

The FSModelExp.DLE is included.  That should please a few people. ;-)

Another quick note - The FS2004 plugins are installed into a new FS2004 " gamepack"  folder, and if you have the FS2002 plugins/makemdl/middleman, and don't want to part with it, you are also prompted on creating a new FS2002 folder in the gamepack folder, etc.

Basically, similar to the CFS3 setup of a different gamepack.

Have you tried Export Selected to stop MakeMdl?

I just put Middleman and MdlCommander in the sequence and stopped it that way.  Then I set the options and saved as default.

Then you can pull MM/MC back out if you wish.

If middleman works fine with new makemdl and its new approch to interior/exterior hierarchy - it is certainly good news. Will switch to that export sequence back again, and see what happens :)

Check the SDK downloads - Makemdl SDK has been released also.  Even though the "new"  makemdl has been released with the gamepack SDK, this new release has the docs.

I realize this post is ancient, sorry for reviving the dead. However, the Microshaft seems to have eliminated the FS2004 GMAX SDK.

Does anyone still have the download?
