Gmax plane to FS X?

Postby OcfDerek » Fri Nov 16, 2007 10:34 pm

I've mdoeled the Maverick leader personal jet for a Client of mine & I would like to know how to make the transition from Gmax to fs X or FlightSim 10 as most of you know it.

Here is what I've done.

Nifty little plane you have there!  I really like the lines of it, and that tail setup is interesting (although those elevators look a tad small, don't you think?)!

From the looks of your gmax screen, it does not look as if you've installed the FS-X SDK from the FS-X Deluxe version DVD.  THis will be the first required step.

You will then have to donwload the SP1a SDK update, from the fsinsider.com site.

Are you creating animations?  All animations will have to be identified with the Animation Tool.

It's not as easy as it use to be...  :)

Where did you get the blueprints mate? I've been looking all over the net for a good set.

I have www.suurland.com where I get mine at.

Well I've tried to download the spa1 and I did but when I went for the install and it said I needed the special Edition disk 1 what do I do now?

I only have the normal fs X.

Thou art out of luck.  As I mentioned earlier, the necessary SDK files come in the DELUXE version.

At this time you have two choices - buy and install FS-X deluxe, or complete your model as best you can and associate with someone who can do the animations, etc.
