when i try and register GMAX for my computer which isnt linked to the internet and get the code and print it off it dosent let me continue and the code has a big cross by it ? what is up

The code doesn't do much, just tells the program to go ahead and look for the cookie it needs to tell it you have registered.
I myself have done what you are trying to do, and here is what you have to get:

i didnt even do that i typed in the code i got yesterday in 2 day and it worked

huh . . . now that is something . . . it shouldn't do that, you should have to download that cookie transfer.
Gmax is SOOOO weird . . .
