I just finally let Microsoft install the SP 3 for my Win XP setup. It caused a frame rate and smoothness improvement in fs2004 for me. Have no idea why.... but it did.

Yeah, it does contain some minor new networking and security functions but, nothing that will increase performance in any DX app.

But I did not let Windows auto update do that. I am never the "first kid on the block" with such stuff. I wait and watch the experiences others are having. Been burned too many times by "updates" or[glow=yellow,2,300] "new and improved"[/glow]. ;)
When I finnally switch to FSX....... all the bugs will be out and lots of payware and freeware addons will be available. Probably cheap...cause FSXI will be either out or right around the corner.
