Word

I am running XP and Word 2003 and to say that starting or closing Word is painfully slow would be an understatement. Anyone got any ideas?

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

MAtt,

Nope, I have the same combo and it works fine.  Do you have a path to something that Word uses "missing"?

Matt Office 2003 is a serious memory hog. What are your system specs? My rig would slow to a crawl so I went back to my older version of Office!

I have run a Reg Check program that I have and that found no problems. I have checked out a few site about this problem and they point to a possible missing DLL, but that should have been picked up by the checker.

I have 1Gig, I would have thought that would be enough. Unfortunately I have no other versions of Office to go back to.

Have you got a dual language install? E.g. German and English?
