Keyboard Encoder - which key?

Postby cwloew » Thu Jan 11, 2007 9:37 pm

I am flying FS 2002, and am building a "flight panel" to get rid of the oversized keyboard.

I have a Hagstrom Electronics KE USB 36 encoder module which works very well.    Trouble is, it changes switch movements and turns them into keyboard input ... which is fine, but can't find any keyboard commands relating to Taxi Lights, Beacon Lighs, or Nav lights.

Can someone explain how I can add these commands, the syntax to use, and what file the configuration is?

Thanks for reading this.

These are all of the lighting commands I could find.  I never even knew you could tilt the landing lights.

All Lights On/Off................L
Strobe Lights On/Off..........O
Panel Lights On/Off............SHIFT+L
Landing Lights On/Off.........CTRL+L
Landing Light Tilt Down.......CTRL+SHIFT+Num Pad 2
Landing Light Tilt Left..........CTRL+SHIFT+Num Pad 4
Landing Light Tilt Right........CTRL+SHIFT+Num Pad 6
Landing Light Tilt Up...........CTRL+SHIFT+Num Pad 8
Center Landing Light..........CTRL+SHIFT+Num Pad 5

The On/Off are toggles.

Thank you for the reply, I did find those in  the settings section and had to change the comands because for some reason, my encoder isn't recognizing the letter L or the letter O.

I found the Taxi lights, Navigation lights on the Boeing 737-400 kneeboard where it displays commands not made available in the sim settings section; which means that I cannot seem to change those commands to something my encoder will accept.

Still working on it, I have nothing but time.  And I am using single pole double throw toggles for these lights along with led's to remind me what is on and off.

Many thanks again
