Well, got it, played it, completed it etc etc.
H&D2 remains the superior game in my opinion. COD2 is just too arcadie for my taste. Plus the weapons are poorly modelled for the most part. Especially the british ones. I mean the Sten is made to look like a length of gaspipe with a handle on the side.
Still, it looks pretty for the most part. Flames are well modelled especially.
Don't really like the multiplayer much. Partly because I'm not very good at it. Mostly because tactics mostly seem to involve leaping about and shooting aimlessly in between getting shot by snipers or someone clubbing you from behind.
So PI, I suggest you try H&D2 for multiplayer. Jumping is severely limited as you can only do two or three jumps before your endurance drains and you have to rest. Plus jumps arn't very high. Just enough to leap up a medium sized step or across a trench etc. No smoke grenades and only double barreled shotguns.
Whats more ammunition is limited. You choose your own amount but it's a balance between what other things you want to carry too, such as medkits, grenades, pistols, knives etc. You can increase what you carry by taking a backpack, but then that weighs you down and you have to manually transfer the stuff between it and your webbing. Basically you can carry 12 items on your webbing. Pistols and medkits count as two each, grenades are one as is each spare mag.
My standard load out is 6 spare mags, 2 or 3 grenades a medkit and a knife. I usually count on dying before I run out of ammo.
Anyway, the long and short of it is, I think H&D2 is a better game than COD2.
