Video Codec

Postby BAW0343 » Sat Jun 03, 2006 10:11 pm

So I pulled a prank on my youth paster and we got it on film. The media director got me a cut in MPEG and it seem Windows Movie maker wont support it, accedental deletion of some codecs i belive. So i am wondering if any of you know how i can fix this? I downloaded MPEG-2 codec and it fixes the player, but not the move maker. I was also wondering if there was a free "super pack" thing, a program that will load all the codecs you may ever need on your computer?  any help would be great  ;D ;D

There is a program called GSpot, just google it (it is free). It'll be able to analyse the file and tell you what video and audio codecs you need ;) Then just google the codec 8)

Doesn't GSpot only work on AVIs?

I knew what i codec i needed already,  just makeing it work was the problem. And i figured out that Windows Movie Maker doesent like mpeg (not a good editing platform) So then i got a converter, edited the AVI and i am uploading the video now and will have a link to the video in the humor section soon.
