Its not as bad as it sounds. 10 years on and off. I havent played since 2000- I found Perfect Dark then. I bought it in 1996 and played on and off until 2000- bear in mind I was very young when I started playing.
That said I dug it out and started playing- lo and behold I finished it.

The N64 is still the ultimate console I think. And Perfect dark is the ultimate game. ;D

My most memorable Goldeneye multiplayer game was when the only weapon allowed was proximity mines. After 15 minutes or so you couldn't move with out blowing up.

It was only ever bettered by a Perfect Dark match we had where the only weapons were crossbows with sedative darts and shotguns. The theory being to sedate your opponent intill they couldn't see then to shoot them with the shotgun while they're running about like a headless chicken.

As for school, we had a Sega megadrive there. Bomberman all the way. ;D

Proximity Mines !!??!!?! :O :O

Wow, I guess being a kid in the UK really is tougher than here in the US, we only had knives in elementary school!

Goldeneye and Perfect Dark were two of the best FPSs ever.  Oh, how many hours down the drain on MP... 8)

Ah goldeneye.  That game was incredible.  The only newer mp console game that even comes close to as much fun is Halo.  I remember me and my brother would play goldeneye for hours, and it was always a race on certain levels to see who could get the rocket launcher first lol.  The most fun I had was on the silo level I entered a cheat to be invincible then ran around after the big explosion.

Man, I should go hook up my N64 and play!

I still say that Perfect Dark is still the best multiplayer game ever made. The maps, the skins, the modes of play, and the whole multiplayer campaign along with the Single Player one. Hands down it is king. Unfortunately the new one does it absolutely no justice. Well I just got out the good ole emulator (unfortunately I sold my N64) and had a go.

Cheers
