IL2 Stromvik and Forgotten Battles

Hey,

I'm think of getting IL2 Forgotten Battles as I really want to play my mate who has IL2

So if I get IL2 Forgotten Battles will I be able to play him when all he has is standard IL2?

Shouldn't think so. You'll need the same version of the same game. So it has to be fully updated basically patchwise and they are huge patches.

I have the whole series to include their latest Pacific Fighters.  As much as I'd love to fly in that sim it just takes way to much of the day setting all of it back up with all the patches and fixes. Same thing with LOMAC. I bought it when it first came out. Between the Saitek X-45 setups and the patches I'm too far behind the curve on that one as well .
