Matrox setup problems

Postby Demious » Mon May 14, 2012 12:17 pm

I bought a matrox dualhead2go and I'm trying to set it up. However, the manual says to plug it in and start up the computer, but then my screens stay black and nothing happens. The manual doesnt give me much more then how to attach the cables, so I'm pretty much stuck here.
Can someone tell me how I get this to work?

The compatibility tool says my system is compatible but with 2x 1280x1024, which is a very strange resolution, of course. I tried to setup that resolution in the nvidia control panel, but that doesnt change anything, not even the resolution of my screen...

I know this sounds obvious, but make sure you use the cable that came with the DH2G unit.  I have a TH2G, and used my own, longer DVI cable and couldnt get it to work at all. Used the shorter, Matrox cable and it was, and still is, fine. I also only connected 1 monitor to my Matrox and another to the DVi uotput on my card to check the connections, this seemed to work OK too. then the matrox should autodetect the monitors, and ask you to reboot.
