Goflight RP-48 rotary knob reverse in game

Postby SA227 » Tue Dec 16, 2008 8:55 pm

Hello, I just bought a module from Goflight model Rp-48 for my FSX sim. In the game, when i rotate the knob counter clock wise, my heading bug rotate clockwise. This goes the same for the OBS knob rotating clockwise outside causes it to rotate counter clockwise.  I tried this on the 172sp inside the games and also the pmdg beech 1900. Please let me know what i can do. I tried contacting goflight but they havent respond to my question.

I assume, the knob is listed as an AXIS, in your control settings? Try clicking reverse next to the knob in question, and see if that works. ;)

Hey thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the knob is not listed at all. The goflight module is not listed in my FSX control settings. I use their latest software to program.

Oh, I see what the problem is,  there is no axis control for heading bugs etc. and therefore it must be assigned under the key section, where there is no reverse function for the keystroke.

Check and see if in the buttons/keys section, you have assigned the knobs to the desired function. If you have already done that, are you sure you rotated them in the correct direction when assigning them? ;)

hey thanks for your help again. The goflight software is pretty basic and there's no advance configuration. All i do is click on the knob and i assign a function to it. I dont and cannot rotate it in the direction i want to set during the config and the program doesn't ask me to rotate either. Just click and choose a function.HELLPPP!! I can't rotate the knob reverse. This would mess me up in a real airplane lol. I could imagine myself strugglign with the obs while shooting an intstrument approach. Now that's not goign to be fun there.

Whoops, only just read that its not listed in your FSX control settings. I have the GoFlight TQ6 Throttle Quadrant, and it shows up in my FSX control settings, not sure why the RP-48 module doesn't show up...

What you need is FSUIPC What you cannot control with this program is not worth knowing. You can make rotaries do just about anything in both directions. It is pay ware that should be sold at twice it's price. I have never looked back since I installed it.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

If you are trying to get support out of Goflight....use their phpone number.  Totally forget the forum or even email.

Via phone their customer service is EXECPTIONAL.  Via electronic means it is terrible.

I use a RP-48 and it controls heading bugs flawlessley in fs2004.

best,
