Windows Update then PC problems

Hi guys, last night my computer installed one of those Windows updates, and after restart (windows looked a bit different) I opened my FS for a short flight just as soon as I landed my FS went to a black screen and the CTD.  I thought no big deal , and restarted my computer.  Now everything looks normal. Open my FS9, start flying and bam my computer goes to a black screen and the engine sound is kind of stuck, can't do ctrl-alt-delete, can't do a thing.  Have to turn off my computer by pressing the power button.  Turn it back on, looks ok.

What I did this morning was left it running an antivirus scan and also ran spybot just in case.

OH Forgot to mention, on the first restart after the install just as it finished loading my desktop it popped an error about a system32/ xxx dll (don't remember the name).

Just a hunch, but did it update your video card driveres by chance? My dad's did that once and it caused the video to default to the standard VGA display driver. After changing it back all was well.

Negative, no changes made by me, the only thing was the Windows Update

I was having a similar problem with the screen going black at random times for a few days now. I uninstalled the windows updates earlier today when I saw you were having issues and have not had the problem since. I recommend uninstalling whatever windows update installed.

Interesting...

Since I updated the other day as well, my rig seems to freeze after running my antivirus after about 25 min, , and during a long flight.....

Ran spybot, but it seems to freeze during the av run....

any clues yet?
