Hey anyone else have this mouse. It has been working great for a long time, but for the last few days its started to get really jerky. defraged, didnt help, reinstalled windows didnt help, my next move is throw it at the wall but seeing i made almost 50 bucks for it, i wanna try to fix it some other way first. If you dont know what the MX510 is, its an precsion optical gaming mouse, used to work great in fps, but the jerkyness meant i had to start using my old MS optical.

I have the MX310, i've had it for nearly a year.  It's working as good as it did the day i bought it.

Perhaps a wire has become loose ???
Have you tried a different USB slot?

Yes, both USB 1.1 slots on the nmotherboard, and then both USB 2.0 slots on the riser card

How many times a day do you clean the mousepad  to remove all the gunge which collects on it?
.....and clean the underside of the mouse...?
I have to clean them regularly to allow the mouse pointer to scroll smoothly around the screen.. ;)...!

i dom't even use my mouse, sine my X52 has a mini-joystick which is used as the mouse. luckly im left handed, so it's easy for me to convert to the left handed-ness.

i use a wireless labtec mouse/keyboard combo.

if it's a wireless, those tend to run low on battery quick. i'v had this keyboard since november, and i've replaced the battery 6 times. if not, it may be a cable issue, IE: faulty wiring or bad connector. my policy on this is if it costs more to fix than to replace, then replace it. aways a pretty good policy.

I have the MX510 and like it but I have noticed that gunk can get in the area of the eye, don't know how but it does.

Keeping that area clean seems to help, haven't had any other troubles out of it,
