Well I've seen some two year old systems with SD in them. My dad just sold his 2 year old system with dual DDR and SD-Ram one of those ECS gimicks

That system might be two-years old, but I'd bet the board is much older.

Well it would look like you have a socket A processer here ;). So Fozz what would you recomend here?

I still think you should go with a new 939 board and processer, however I do know you can get a 3200+ for socket A

Cheers

Thanks to all for all the advise. It looks like, thanks to a generous offer from a fellow SimV member, that the motherboard will be getting replaced after all. Looks like this one has outgrown its usefullness.

Asustek motherboard (supports up to 2.8ghz) chip
pentium4 2.00ghz chip clocked to 2.4
1 gig sd ddram
nvidia fx 5700le 256mbs card
and may be a few other bits..

These are comming to me by way of Lemoncat who is letting me have the guts of his old system for a very nominal price. That should solve my problems, don't you think?!

Indeed but most of a decent screenshot is the composition, ie, angle, lighting, weather, etc. He seems to have a very good eye for all of these and i'm sure he could take a decent shot on a PIII!

However, there is no doubt that this is good system and will enhance my FS experience no end. Lemoncat is one of those rare breeds of human beings, Kind and Generous. All he wanted was that his old system went to another keen flight simmer who would benifit from it. All he's asked for is a nominal amount of money to help with the cost of his new system. A credit to SimV and FS people as a whole.
