yep thats the kind of score you should be getting, you need the fastest hardware to get good fps in those tests.
did you notice any of the graphical glitches that you get in fs?
Here is my score for comparison.
"Which is why you don't need to bother with benchmarks, they mean nothing." ....... Statements like this are absurd. Benchmarks are accurate and give excellent comparison analysis in a controlled test. They mean nothing if you don't control the test. For example, my results can't be compared to Rob's unless the same resolution, filtering and other driver settings are identical.
Well, the edges of the graphics in the test were a little naggy but after installing the 82.12 driver my flickering was reduced quite a lot and I don't think I'll get them any better than that.
When it comes to the stuttering, which is the big problem, I couldn't tell if it stuttered or not because I didn't have enough framerate for a smooth picture, and when I get my stutters in the sim the framerate can be as high as 70.
I use the default resolution for the 3Dmark test, I don't touch a thing, just click to begin the test. I think the test defaults to 1024x768x32, but you don't need to select the resolution at all, or any other parameters.
I force AA and AF off and set graphics to balanced or performance depending on the driver. Vertical sync off, monitor refresh is 85hz (CRT), all else is left alone.
I also disable all the auto crap that self installs when you load an nvidia driver, this includes the nvidia driver service/s that run in services.
In fact I disable all auto crap period, with the exception of my firewall which auto loads at startup.
For my normal settings, I use 2x or 2Qx AA and 4x AF filtering with best quality selected. This seems to overide all other setting in software, but I'm not absolutely sure about all apps.
The jaggies are normal as the free version of 3dmark does the tests with no AA./
As for your flikering you woulden't be using a CRT monitor would you?/
try 3dmark o1 to check if its jumping as that should run smoothly/

ahh by the flikering do you mean the trees kind of shimmering?
as this is a flight simulator only issue.
Personaly I fly with 4x af to stop this been particulary noticable.
