I've been using the MS Sidewinder joysticks for a couple years now. After my first one died, I went out and bought the MS Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick.

i use M$ Sidewinder Force Feedback... it's really neat if you can get the forces to work properly (i usually have a hard time 'cus my joystick is pre-USB)

it's a nice buy ::)

I used to have the Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2.... excellent stick and good value.

If you're sure Flight simming is the thing for you... then there's only one option:
The Saitek Flight controllers... thats either the X45 or the X52. Both HOTAS controls with LEDs for night flying and very comfortable. The X52 has a digital display on the throttle.
I have the X45, its a brilliant stick and very easy to install/use.  :)
For more info, check the www.saitek.com website and check the flight controllers page. :)

I think FlyingBart put a price limit on the joystick, so that puts the Saitek X45/50 at
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

microsoft sidewinder precision 2, it's pretty good.

but microsoft has seemed to have stopped service and supports, as well as selling them. so yeah... go with saitek, pretty much any model.

preferrably the X-45 or X-52

I recommend the X-45 or X-52 myself. Though I only use a Cyborg 3D Rumble Force stick.  8)

Why waste money on all these ugly looking pieces of Museum. art? I cant stand any joysticks (Tried em in stores and EEEEEEEEEEEEK) I prefer the MS Precision 2 that or get a yoke, more planes have yoke and pedals then a Stick anyways! Cheers, Gunny

EDIT: Ebay brand new has em for less then 10 USD or so and they are practicly brand new, havent checked UKs ebay though

I'd agree with the Saitek X-45/52.

If you can get an X-45 you may be able to get a good price. I picked mine up just as the 52 came in for
