Attaching Camcorder to computer

How do I do that? It is an analaog camera, it has the hook-ups for the TV out, Tried hooking it up to video card , mabe I am doing somthing wrong?
I am somwhere I don't know where I am!!!

Is the jack on the video card an input, or an output? More than likely it is an output.  Only other way I know of doing what you want to do is to buy a converter card.  I'm currently using the ATI Tv Woder which seems to work pretty good as long as you have a decent computer and updated drivers for it.  With the card you can then use RCA (inputs from camera) or Antenna / cable...

how much would a converter card be, and what would it be, somthing you attach to a USB ?

Firewire.


Firewire is the way to go if your system supports it... (Mine does!  :P) but they also have USB, and internal PCI cards capable of doing what you want.  I might suggest looking at what they have at the Tiger Direct website.

I have ordered all of my parts for my computer from this site without having any problems excepts a bad power supply.  Delivery is usually pretty prompt unless the item is backordered.
