PDSF Hurricane guns

Postby farmerdave » Fri Nov 26, 2004 11:45 am

How can I increase the pitch of the guns on the CFS3 PDSF Hurricane?  The tracers are barely visible through the gunsight.  I tried incresing the pitch in the XDP file, but when I start up CFS3, I get a messsage informing me that it can't read the XDP file and that it is either corrupted or invalid.  Any ideas?

Have you used word pad or M$ word to edit the xdp?
Got most likely screwed due to wrong reformatting.
Use either notepad, any other true ASCII editor or a special xml editor.
When using notepad make shure that it doesn't add a txt extension.

sorry.  I don't have much time to read the forums much anymore.  It did work using notepad.  increased the pitch to 3.0 and the tracers actually reach the sight.

Ah ok.
Two possibilities, either Notepad has added a txt extension or you made an error in editing the file, LOL.
To check on #2 open the xdp in Internet Explorer, it will tell you if/where the error is. Most likely a wrongly placed slash, a wrong space or something.
