Never heard of a "BoB CFS3 Expansion".  What is it?

Well now I remember where I'd seen something about an expansion called this, it stands for "Battle of Britain".
BUT,..........I think(uh oh ::) ), that it's for IL-2, not CFS3. But it would be cool for CFS3 too, better even cuz I dont remember the Russians being involved with the Battle of Britain, they had their own thing going on at the time as I recall so I dont see how it fits into IL-2. Hehe even "IL-2 Forgotten battles"( heh, the Battle of Britain is anything but forgotten ;).

Hmm, Barbarossa kicked off in '41, after the BoB as I recall.  Russians were all loved up to Herr Hitler at the time.

Are we perhaps talking about the Battle of Britain add-on for CFS2?

Ahhh, cool Goose, thanks for the link! So there is one, well I'll have to check it out for sure. :D
I been watching the 69' classic film "The Battle of Britain" on DVD for the last week or so, boy it sure was a great film! Christopher Plummer, Micheal Cain, Robert Shaw,..........gotta love'em ;) And those SPITS!!

Well I did find out some more on the BoB that I'd heard about, and it's not an add-on for IL-2, but rather it's a whole new sim from the same folks who made IL-2,.......UBIsoft/Maddox games. Sigh.........it's not due out till 2005 though. But it does sound like it'll be super!!
I'll see if I can find a link that works, and let ya'all know ;)

I know what BoB stood for.  I was simply wondering what the "CFS3 BoB Expansion" was.  Now I know.  Too bad it is payware. :-/

You know, I was very anti-payware. "Make it Fail" I used to say, partly being because I'm Scottish, but mostly being because I'm skint. When I part with cash they lift Tower Bridge, or theres a total eclipse in China. However, I had a feeling since CFS3 has been out over a year now and still no sign of a decent flyable freeware Lancaster bomber anywhere, the only way I was going to get one quick was if I broke the great taboo and spent some money. I spotted 'Firepower' in a local games shop and quickly grabbed it, and I have to say...I'm rather pleased with it. It wasnt all smooth I admit. There were initial problems with a couple of textures which meant I had to do a clean re-install of CFS3 first before re-installing Firepower, but that was more down to my over-modded CFS3 than Firepower itself. My only remaining grumble was the porpoising on some of the heavier bombers, but a recent patch from their forum seems to have fixed that. So now I have 14 new, well detailed and perfectly flyable (though some take a little practice) aircraft for CFS3 which includes 2x Lancs, 2x B-17's and a nice shiny B-29, with 50 new missions to fly them in. I'm quite happy with it. I know we've been so used to freeware downloads the last few years that the thought of having to go down that road seems unthinkable to a lot of people, but I cant help feeling that if Firepower was actually a Microsoft product, then the CFS3'ers would all be rushing out to buy it, 'cept then it would have been more expensive. I will say I only paid
