"an old retired pilot, walking through the desert, saw in the junkyard in the desert....planes without owners, from former airlines, faded, rusty,....asking for one last flight....he bought the fuselages, he recondition them, revive them... and take them out for a walk"
The test flight program consisted of countless hours of:
-make a plane "appear out of nowhere" in a place far away from the public (absolute secret)
-try some systems and textures...
-"change planes"...and minimize the simulator...
-"make the necessary changes" to the plane, texture or system..
-"return to the simulator" and "choose the plane to test again"....
-...so until everything is repaired, corrected, and reconditioned....
of course... these strange test events could only be done at AREA 51... late at night... not even the most senior staff on the base (what the weirdest things have seen) He could believe his eyes: a plane appeared and disappeared... it changed shape for another plane... it paused reality... and then it reappeared modified....
For the last test flight of the program... the old pilot dressed in "high visibility" orange (and a parachute just in case) made the following test flight:
-make the 737-700 plane appear out of nowhere at KLAX in the afternoon
-turn on aircraft systems
-take off from KLAX (los angeles)
-ascend to 15,000 feet. maintain 15,000 feet
-fly in the direction of the sea for 15 minutes
-test the navigation systems, screens, radios, backup indicators, "textures" (it's absolutely classified...not even anyone in area 51 knows what that is).."sounds"...and a long etc of some things that break reality...such as changing external appearance (change of liveries)
-make the plane turn day into night in an instant and try more "textures" (no one has ever seen a plane do this)
-turn night into day again (afternoon)
-at 15,000 feet enter controlled STALL
-at 15,000 feet exceed the speed limit (overspeed)
-activate the autopilot in all its modes
-turn right and descend to 8,000 feet
-stabilize at 8,000 feet and fly 10 minutes
-turn towards KLAX and descend to 3,500 feet
-call the atc and ask for a landing authorization (whatever the atc wants)
-activate ILS navigation
...and make an ILS landing
I forgot to add that when I returned the weather changed to low visibility (you didn't see anything until you were close to landing)
and at sunset the sun hid behind the mountains.
