Thanks for the reply Peter, I have always had the utmost respect for all our veterans and as my birthday in on the 6th June, D Day takes on a special meaning for me, it serves to remind us all how lucky we are to have real hero's in the world.
Cheers

Happy Birthday, ShadowCaster. My birthday was June 1, 1941 and I feel the same as you about D-Day. My father was in England in the Army and, although he wasn't part of the D-Day landings, I always thought he contributed a great deal as part of the code-breaking work at Bletchley Park.

Those were such different times.

I just read up on the defacing of one Normandy memorial site with swastikas in spray-paint...and four losers hoisting the Nazi flag at another site. They claimed they had no idea it was illegal...bull. They knew what they were doing. Their flag got confiscated, they should've been arrested. It's hard to find anyplace in Europe where anything Nazi is not banned...except for movie/filming costumes.
