Microsoft windows monthly update

Postby Dave T » Thu Nov 08, 2018 7:47 am

Beware of this months monthly update from Microsoft it turned my W7 pc into a paperweight wouldn't start up, safe mode wouldn't work. After three hours I finally got my PC back and this is not the first time this has happened the last time I had to reinstall the operating system and reinstall my programs and games.
I have now disabled Microsoft updates to protect my computer from Microsoft.

I used to work for MS...Just thought you might like some advise...Don't open the door in the middle of the night, or investigate that strange noise coming from the basement after dark. They have a team for just these occasions and are NOT afraid to use them...lol

Funny someone claiming to be from Microsoft rang again today, the biggest threat to my pc at the moment are Microsofts automatic monthly updates.

If you get a call from "Microsoft" with a solution to take care of your computer...
It is a Indian scammer who want to empty your bankaccount. BE CAREFULL and
end the call!

I wish they (MS) would fix my Notepad. It refuses to allow the remembering of and changing of default opening of txt & cfg files. It is a real pain. Every time I have to go searching for the link to Notepad whenever I want to edit such files.

I must be the luckiest SOB here. In the years I've been using W7 I haven't had any of these problems. A couple of things I have done is to disable auto updates and I only install the security updates. I usually wait to do any updates until after I see if anyone else has had any problems with them. An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

Go to Youtube and search for Microsoft Scammers or why not IRS Scammers videos from Scambaiters.
It is the same scammers from India behind it.

Not so wise really Dave. I took my beating on Windows Vista and learned the hard way.
