Scenery glitch

Postby Nighthawk117 » Sat Jan 20, 2018 8:05 pm

Everytime I load my Tuskegee texture P-51 "By Request " I get this weird yellow/black stripping along the scenery. I took a screen shot then switched to a different plane and screen shot same area. Is it a corrupted file in my P-51 folder? Has anyone came across this before? default scenery tuned low but it only happens with the P-51

Just spitballing here, is the mustang a trial version?
I've seen trials of payware planes do some fairly weird stuff to get you to pay for the software. Can you post what this looks like from the top-down view?

I have seen the same thing a company will allow you to download and install a trail or a demo version of a product and it will almost always have some kind of issue with it, though this is a first usually it is some kind of missing texture on the aircraft in this case. I never understood why put something on trail or demo if it is not right. It dose not make a lot of sense to me.
Of course I could be wrong about this where did you download it from? is there any kind of readme file that might explain this? :?:

The rest of the scenery is normal just the area in post and the top frame of fsx window thats it. everything else is normal. I originally thought it was my settings but seeing how low my settings are and its just that one plane. maybe something in the cfg not agreeing with my old system????????

Ok, looks like its a modification of the old FS9 P-51 Reno Racers package, so it's not payware.

Maybe you could try installing this repaint on top of the original package?

If you had gotten the "By Request" repaint that you mentioned, that is for the payware A2A mustang.

Thank you very much Ghostrider I will try it out later. It was my mistake there aren't very many tuskegee freeware textures for the P-51, I just remembered the wrong one. I didn't realize it until I went looking and i saw it was payware had to rethink  what I did lol

I will let you know how it turns out later on tonight.

Thanks again for the help I've been scratching my head for years on this one. I'm surprised I'm not bald from it

Using the textures ok but I would be very surprised if that complete aircraft works in FSX. VC problems I would have thought?

I do know that these versions work in FSX https://simviation.com/1/search?submit= ... ck&x=5&y=4
